With the surge of foreign investment to build skyscrapers came local investment to bring Chef Hiroyuki Naruke and his culinary mastery to 7th and Grand. With an unquestionable repertoire of experience, Chef Hiro stays true to edo-style preparation in his counter only establishment.  Simply put, this will teleport any Angeleno from the downtown streets of Los Angeles to the avenues of Tokyo ten thousand miles away. 

 

Beginning with multiple courses of sashimi to an expansive ensemble of primarily freshly imported fish from Japan, Q delivers on every end of the spectrum for a high quality omakase meal.  Sit back, relax and just grab whatever is placed in front of you.  Every course is prepared with intimate focus and described personally by Chef Hiro, allowing you to explore the Japanese home that he has brought with him to Southern California. 

Perhaps the most impressive feat of the entire meal at Q rest with the final bite of Chef Hiro’s take on Tomago.  Consisting of mostly shrimp, this sweet explosion of flavor will leave you beyond utterly satisfied.
