Noma
SANTA MONICA
Who doesn’t love a casual yet consistently good Sushi Bar with great variety? Santa Monica’s Noma delivers on every level.
Whether wanting to order your personal favorite dishes or explore a reasonably priced omakase, Noma leaves the customer satisfied. Indulge in the litany of appetizers offered including favorites like the Agedashi Tofu and Rock Shrimp Tempura. Don’t be fooled by the casual neighborhood feel of this place, however. Ordering sushi a-la-carte does not leave the patron wanting. Madai, Hotate Scallop, and Toro with caviar are a few personal favorites.
Take note, this place is popular and typically does not take reservations. So don’t come starving on a Friday night because you may need to wait around 30 minutes for a seat to open for you. Be patient though, the wait is worth it.
Overall: Noma has been drawing a loyal local crowd for years and there is a reason why the demand has never ceased to exist. (Quality: Good – Variety: Good– Value: Very High – Vibe: Good)
