Irori

Marina Del Rey

Retail power-center non- chain sushi?  Count me in.

Given the proximity to the ocean you would hope the area has something to offer, and Irori delivers for those residing in the Marina.  The first thing you will notice when entering is everyone being barefoot sitting in little boxes cut out of the ground.  This makes the ambiance of Irori truly unique.

Sit at a table and enjoy the far-ranging menu with kitchen items and izakaya or sit at the bar and have the chefs prepare the daily specials.  The sushi is both high quality and plentiful, so make sure you bring your appetite.  Personal favorites include the halibut truffle sashimi and any fresh cut of nigiri which often comes with a few slices of sashimi on the side.   If you like your Uni stacked high, you came to the right place.

Overall: As good as a neighborhood sushi restaurant gets, great ambiance and great sushi! (Quality: Good – Variety: Very Good – Value: Good – Vibe: Highest)
